LG Korea has released the KC1 smartphone which features WiBro connectivity. The phone comes with Marvell Monahans CPU at 800 Mhz and runs on the Windows Mobile version 5.0 operating system. The handset also sports a 2.8 inch touchscreen LCD, Bluetooth, SD card slot and T-DMB receiver for watching digital TV on the move. For your info, the WiBro is the Korean name for mobile Wi-Max although it has a much shorter range at 1.5 Kms per base station with an aggregate data throughput of 30 to 50 Mbit/s.
