I have the first installment of Cooking Mama for the Nintendo DS Lite, and I must say that title got me hooked for a fair amount of time (at least until I picked up Final Fantasy III but that's another story for another day). It was pretty interesting slicing up vegetables, peeling hot potatoes, stirring a soup while adjusting the flames below, but after going through recipe after recipe, I found that the entire experience got a little old. I have not yet unlocked all the recipes contained in that game but I had better before Cooking Mama 2: Dinner with Friends arrive in retail stores.

Needless to say, Cooking Mama 2: Dinner with Friends feature the same gameplay and offers mostly similar graphics, but the inclusion of 80 new recipes and 150 different cooking procedures (!) will definitely appeal to casual gamers worldwide. Not only that, you can have single card multiplayer - something the first installment lacked, and the ability to decorate your kitchen according to the way you want it as well as giving Mama a brand new set of clothes. This title shouldn't retail for more than $29.90 when released.
